Why guests choose us for airport travel

A significant number of our guests book with us for one simple reason: the location. Just a few minutes from Belfast International Airport, and around a 10-minute drive from Junction One outlet shopping centre. That single fact shapes almost everything about how we run the B&B, from flexible breakfast timing to how we handle parking, because so many of our guests are either about to fly or have just landed.

It isn’t just our own claim, either: it’s the single thing our guests mention most often. One recent guest wrote that they “loved this place for one main reason, the proximity to the airport and leaving the car,” while another noted that being “situated close to the airport made it most convenient.” When the appeal of a stay comes down to genuine convenience rather than a marketing line, it tends to be the thing that gets repeated.

How close are we, really?

Aldergrove, the townland we’re in, is where Belfast International Airport itself is based, so “close to the airport” here means a matter of minutes, not a vague approximation. There’s no need to factor in Belfast city traffic, no anxious calculation about rush hour on the motorway: you can genuinely leave your room and be at the terminal in a short drive.

Free parking for the duration of your stay

Free private parking is available on site for every room throughout your stay, which matters a great deal when you’re travelling and don’t want the hassle of a taxi transfer to and from the terminal on top of everything else.

Early flights and late arrivals

If you have an early morning flight, arriving with us the evening before means a proper night’s sleep in a comfortable bed rather than an anxious few hours at home before an early alarm. Equally, if you’re landing late and don’t fancy a long drive onward that night, a room here means you can simply stop, rest, and carry on the next day rather than pushing through tiredness to reach a destination further away.

The appeal here isn’t just proximity: it’s that you get genuine countryside quiet alongside it. There’s no motorway hum, no car park view, no anonymous corridor of identical doors. It’s a real period house, in real gardens, with a real person looking after you, and it happens to sit minutes from the terminal. For a lot of our guests, that combination, convenience without compromise, is exactly what they were looking for and struggled to find anywhere closer to the city.
