Rooms & Amenities

Individually appointed rooms, each set up so you have everything you need without ever feeling like you're in a hotel.

Your room

Each of our rooms sits within the property’s converted stables, and each one is genuinely individual: different colour schemes, different furniture, different views over the gardens or the fields beyond, rather than the identical, interchangeable rooms you get in a chain hotel. What they all share is a proper sitting and dining area separate from the bed itself, and the same quiet, settled feel that runs through the whole property.

Beds are proper, substantial beds rather than an afterthought. Several of our rooms have carved or upholstered bed frames, generous pillows, and good-quality linen, and more than one guest has told us the bed itself was the thing they remembered most about their stay.

Bathrooms

Bathrooms are fitted with a shower (some with a bath as well), fresh towels, and the small details, proper lighting, a heated towel rail, that make a real difference first thing in the morning or after a long day of travel.

Towels and basic toiletries are provided as standard. If you have a specific requirement (an extra towel, a particular soap you need to avoid, anything like that), just mention it when you book and we’ll sort it before you arrive.

Staying connected, staying comfortable

Each room comes with a kettle, a small fridge, and a microwave, so you have the option of making your own tea or coffee, keeping something cold, or heating up a light meal without needing to go out or rely on room service that doesn’t exist. Free Wi-Fi is available throughout the property, in your room and in the shared sitting areas, at no extra charge, useful whether you’re working remotely for an evening or just want to stream something before bed.

Heating is kept to a comfortable, consistent level throughout the property, and rooms are properly insulated period rooms rather than thin-walled modern-build partitions, so you get a genuinely quiet night’s sleep regardless of the weather outside.

Shared spaces

Beyond your own room, guests are welcome to use the shared sitting areas around the property, a couple of quiet corners with armchairs and good light, ideal for reading, working, or simply sitting with a cup of tea before heading out for the day. These spaces aren’t a formal lounge you have to compete for space in; they’re genuinely quiet, and the property never feels crowded or busy in the way a larger hotel can.

Breakfast is served in a proper dining setting each morning. See our breakfast page for the full details.

Parking and getting around

Free private parking is available on site for every room, so there’s no need to hunt for street parking or pay for a car park during your stay. See our airport stays page for more on that.

Who our rooms suit

Our rooms work well for couples looking for a countryside weekend, solo travellers wanting somewhere quiet and personal rather than anonymous, and anyone using Aldergrove as a convenient stop either side of a flight. Because each room has its own sitting area, kettle, and fridge, you can settle in properly rather than just passing through, whether you’re staying one night or several.
